Frequently Asked Questions

What is Balayage?

Pronounced BAH-LAY-AHGE, Balayage is the technique of free-hand painting highlights onto the hair, creating a soft and natural gradation of lightness towards the ends. I recommended having a refresh done every
8-10 weeks, to either bring the balayage back up or a toner.

How much does it cost?

The price really varies depending on the desired look. Generally with today's hair trends and the amount of time spent crafting they style the base starting price would be $300+

How long does the service take?

Typically from start to finish with an added cut or blow dry 3 hours+

Vivids and Pastels, why do they cost so much?

Often with vivids and pastels the hair needs to be prelightened. Your hair may need to be prelightened once or several times to get to the desired lightness required for either pastel or vivid tone.
The up keep on these colours is also very costly. Using professional products at home is a must to keep maximum longevity of your desired colour. I will not guarantee the colour if you are using drug store products at home.

How much does it cost?

Starts at $75+ per hour,  the price varies depending on how many times we need to lift your hair and the amount of product used. I will not do a vivids or pastels service without an in person consultation prior to the service.

How long does the service take?

The amount of time really depends on what we are doing. You could expect a minimum of 4 hours with an added cut and blow dry.

What are baby lights?

Baby lights are super baby fine highlights that are done to the root. You have super soft grow out which means that you can go longer without having your hair done like with balayage. I recommended having a refresh done every
6-10 weeks. If you're enjoying the grow out but have noticed that your toner has faded it's
recommended to have your toner refreshed in-between your visits or every 6-10 weeks.

How much does it cost?

Starts at $300+, the price varies depending on the desired look and the amount of product used.

How long does the service take?

Typically from start to finish with an added cut or blow dry 3 hours+

What is Toner?

Toner is used either as corrective method to get rid of unwanted tones such as brassy yellow for example.
Additionally it's
used to add in any desired colour that you may want after lifting your hair for example copper, brown, blue, purple etc.
